Applying for a House
The Association operates an open waiting list which means that anybody aged 16 or over can apply for housing at any time. The Association has a limited turnover with approximately sixty properties becoming available for let each year.
If you wish to apply for housing with The Association you must complete a Housing Options Form with a member of staff. You can arrange an appointment to complete a Housing Options Form by either visiting the Association’s office or by contacting Housing Services by telephone on 0141 950 9052.
Housing Options appointments take around 45 minutes so please ensure that you allow yourself enough time to complete the application.
We require applicants to provide at least two proofs of residence and one form of photographic ID for yourself and every other person who is applying with you. Examples of accepted evidence include:
- Bank or Post Office statement
- Child Benefit letter & Tax Credit award letter
- Driving Licence
- Utility bill
- Tenancy Agreement
- Proof of right to reside in UK
- Proof of income - pay slips, award of benefits letter, benefits details pension.
Existing tenants who are looking to apply for a transfer will need to complete a Housing Options Form. Housing Options appointment can be arranged by visiting the Association’s office or by contacting Housing Services on 0141 950 9052.
