Freedom of Information

Since 11 November 2019, the Association has been classified as a public authority in accordance with the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. The Association is also subject to the Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.
 
The Freedom of Information legislation places the following duties on the Association:
 
• A duty to respond to requests for information.
• A duty to publish information.
• A duty to offer advice and assistance to those requesting information.

As part of its duty to publish information the Association has adopted the Scottish Information Commissioners (SIC) Model Publication Scheme. As part of our commitment to openness and transparency, Yoker Housing Association has adopted a Publication Framework that sets out the range of information that we publish. Our model Publication Framework complies with legal requirements and is consistent with the Model Publication Framework promoted by the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations and the Glasgow and West of Scotland Forum of Housing Associations.
